Who can join the Eastbourne Law Society? 

Membership is open to solicitors, trainees, paralegals, and affiliated legal professionals in Eastbourne and the surrounding area. Retired solicitors may remain members at a reduced fee (equivalent to the trainee rate). 

How do I join the Society? 

Click the Membership page and follow the instructions to join. You can pay your subscription online or via the methods listed. 

Can I update my details if I change firm or contact info? 

Yes! Please email your updated details to the Administrator. Make sure to include your name, firm, email, and phone number. Retired members should also notify us if they wish to maintain membership at the reduced rate. 

How do I access the WhatsApp, Facebook, or LinkedIn groups? 

• WhatsApp Group: Committee Member Chat -  email the Administrator.

• Facebook Group: For Society News & Discussions

• LinkedIn Group: Professional Networking & Updates

All groups are members-only and moderated to ensure professionalism and privacy.

Where can I find Committee Members and meeting minutes? 

Visit the Committee Members & Meeting Minutes page to view current Committee contacts and download minutes from recent meetings. 

How do I book tickets for the Law Ball or other events? 

Check the Events page for the latest event information. For the Law Ball, a “Book Tickets” button links to the booking form or registration instructions. 

Are there job opportunities for members? 

Yes! Visit the Current Vacancies page for postings from local firms. You can also join our Facebook Group or LinkedIn Group to see jobs as they are posted. 

Can I invite someone to join the Society? 

Prospective members should follow the Membership page instructions. Only current members can invite others to join the Society’s online groups, subject to admin approval.
