AGM

The Eastbourne Law Society holds its Annual General Meeting (AGM) each year to review the Society’s activities, elect Committee Members, present the annual accounts, and discuss matters raised by members.

The AGM is both a formal requirement and an important opportunity for members to contribute to the Society’s direction and priorities for the year ahead.

Date: Thursday 11 June 2026
Venue: The Lansdowne Hotel, King Edward's Parade, Eastbourne BN21 4EE  
Time: 5.30pm
Details: The meeting will be followed by a two-course dinner.  Menu options will be sent out shortly.

All members are warmly invited to attend.

If you wish to stand for election to the Committee or propose an agenda item, please contact the Administrator prior to the notice deadline.

Each year, the AGM typically covers:

• The President’s summary of the year’s activities and highlights

• Presentation of the Society’s financial report

• Election (or re-election) of Committee Members

• Discussion of any proposed changes to the Society’s Constitution or policies

• Open floor for member feedback or proposals

The AGM is your chance to have a voice.

Whether you’d like to stand for a Committee role, propose an idea, or simply stay informed, your attendance and input are greatly valued.

The Society’s continued success depends on active, engaged members — your views genuinely help shape our next year of events, training, and initiatives.

The Society’s 2025 Annual General Meeting was held at the Lansdowne Hotel. Members gathered for formal business followed by lunch and networking in a relaxed and collegial setting. 

We thank all members who attended and contributed to the continued work of the Society.
